It was July 25th, 2022 that The Lord led Pastor Clark to hold a meeting with some zealous, growing disciples who were passionate about growing in the things of God. This group of believers developed a hunger for God in such a way, that the expectation of what we were believing God to do was indescribable. 

While seeking the wisdom of God, Pastor Clark called for prayer via teleconference and urged those that were willing to join him in an immediate consecration. The Lord spoke and His will begin to manifest.  Weekly Services started in a tax office in Hartsville SC.  This included Sunday morning prayer, Sunday morning worship, Mid-week Bible Study, and other gatherings that took place. 

It was in August of 2022 that numbers begin to grow and this group was becoming a church family. 

As "The Work" begin to grow, Pastor Clark came up with the name Community Bible Study" (CBS) Group. This was an intentional name given, to let our local community know, that through the Word of God, CBS Group was here to serve the community. CBS Group then partnered with the local Soup Kitchen in the city of Hartsville to help serve those in need of a hot meal. CBS Group also assisted serving the Homeless Shelter once a  month to demonstrate the power of God in the local community. 

Beginning with about fourteen adults, another level of faith had begin to set upon the CBS Group. The passion to not just study The Word of God, but to apply The Word of God was now the  goal. It was about seeing The Word of God being  manifested in the lives of those who believed. As God began to grow CBS in quality, the Group also begin to grow in quantity. God was moving in every area, that the question arose, "what are we going to do next Pastor"?

After praying, fasting to God, and consulting with  Bishop Michael Blue & Pastor Malinda Blue, (Pastor & Lady Clark's Pastors) it was now time to go to the next level of ministry. God called Pastor James Clark along 'with Lady Chante' Clark to birth this ministry, "Community of Hope Fellowship".  The name of the ministry came through prayer and mediation of the scripture , Colossians 1:27 where Paul speaks about Christ being the Hope of glory. And in being like Christ, we believe that God has called us to be HOPE (through Christ) for the community.

It was November 29th, 2022 that Pastor Clark announced the great news after Bible Study, and the saints began to rejoice. The opportunity to join was presented to those who had been  faithfully serving and participating. Board members were set in place and the work began.

God is extremely good to Community Of Hope Fellowship (COHF). And as we continue to obey God, we believe that the best is still yet to come. We are excited and in great expectation and anticipation  of what God is going to do in and through Community Of Hope Fellowship.
